Clarivein

ClariVein is a minimally invasive vein treatment for superficial varicose veins. During a ClariVein procedure, the vein doctor inserts a specialized catheter with a rotating wire tip into the diseased saphenous vein responsible for your vein problems. When activated, the wire tip damages the diseased saphenous vein’s walls while injecting a sclerosant medicine that turns it into a hardened scar tissue eventually metabolized by the body. The accumulated blood reroutes into healthier leg veins to restore optimal blood circulation.

What to expect during the procedure?

ClariVein is a minimally invasive procedure that concludes within 30 minutes. It’s a safe, in-office procedure that treats varicose veins and underlying chronic venous insufficiency, the root cause of all vein problems.

ClariVein is a simple, in-office treatment that doesn’t involve extensive preparation or post-treatment recovery. The vein doctor administers local anesthesia and inserts the ClariVein device into the skin under ultrasound guidance.

Once the ClariVein device is lodged inside the diseased saphenous vein, the vein doctor activates it to close the targeted vein. The entire procedure concludes within 30 minutes, following which you can return home.

ClariVein doesn’t involve an extensive recovery period. You can resume most of your daily activities and work immediately, though you must avoid heavy lifting for a few days. You don’t need to take any time off work.

Before and after Vein Doctor treatment

PROS OF
CLARIVEIN

Most minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins involve multiple injections, which also leads to more post-treatment bruising. ClariVein involves one small incision and one injection, so the risk of post-treatment bruising is also minimal.

ClariVein allows you to resume your daily activities immediately. Furthermore, the results of ClariVein are also immediately visible — you don’t have to wait for weeks to see the results.

CONS OF
CLARIVEIN

ClariVein may lead to mild skin discoloration around the treatment area. You can treat skin discoloration with skin creams.

ClariVein isn’t suitable for the treatment of smaller varicose veins and spider veins in areas with dense arterial connections, such as the face and feet.
